No matter the season or time the year this turmeric and honey DIY natural face mask will leave your skin feeling revitalised and renewed. Turmeric beauty and face masks have been used in Asian countries for centuries. Turmeric contains a photochemical called curcumin, which can benefit the body, both inside and out. Personally I love turmeric and have it in smoothies, soups and of course Asian foods, but it awesome to use to give our skin a lift as well.
This easy mask can benefit your skin in many ways:
- Works to reduce acne and eczema
- It can help to reduce inflammation and redness promoting skin healing.
- Turmeric’s antioxidant properties means it is useful for skin rejuvenation, helping to soften lines and wrinkles.
- It is also effective with rosacea – a chronic skin condition that is characterized by redness and pimples., it helps to ease the redness.
I love honey, to the point of having our own bee hive. Honey has the ability to absorb impurities from the skin. It is antibacterial and full of antioxidants, the antioxidant properties help protect your skin from the damaging ultraviolet sunlight. It also moisturizes, soothes, and lightens your skin.
The addition of yogurt also helps to
- Moisturize the skin
- Reduce wrinkles and fine lines
- Fight acne
- Fade blemishes and pigmentation
- Reduce dark circles
- Treats skin infections
- Soothe sunburn
This basic face mask is easy to make and acts as a moisturizer, exfoliator and reduces redness. It will brighten your skin and leave is looking fresh and clean.
You Will Need

Application
Gently apply the mask evenly all over your face. Make sure you don’t miss under your eyes, as the turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce dark circles.
If you have any mask leftover, you can save it in the fridge for a few days and use it the next time.
Leave the mask on for about 20 minutes until it is dry. Then wash off with cool water and dry your face gently with a soft cloth.
It is perfectly ok to repeat the mask over the course of a few days, even apply every few weeks, depending on your needs and complexion.
