Step 4. Rose & Salt Soak with Rose Petal Facial (20-30 minutes)

Rose & Salt Soak with Rose Petal Facial

Draw a bath of hot water for the rose and salt soak. Add the bath salts and several drops of rose essential oil to the bathwater (10-20 drops). Remove the petals from the roses and place them in a bowl by the bathtub.

My Bath Salt Recommendations:

#1 Mountain Rose Herbs Himalayan Pink Salt $8.00 for 1lb. ( – Containing 84 trace elements and iron, Himalayan salt is one of the richest therapeutic bath salts available.

#2 Mountain Rose Herbs Dead Sea Salt $4.50 for 1lb. (

For the rose petal facial, mix 1 tablespoon of almond oil with 10 – 15 drops of rose essential oil. Apply the oil gently to your face. Rose oil is considered a wonderful oil for use on the face to cleanse pores, reduce wrinkles, tone and tighten sagging skin, and promote a smooth and clear complexion. Slip into the bath and recline.

Begin to apply rose petals over the face one by one until the face is completely covered. Add any additional rose petals to your bath water, gently crushing them with your fingers before adding them to the water to help release the fragrance.

Soak in the tub and relax for several minutes. When done, rinse the petals from the face and gently towel off the face and body. Apply some almond oil infused with rose oil to the rest of your body, spending a little extra time massaging it into your feet as a final touch.

Now, float off to have a mug of rooibos or hibiscus tea to rehydrate after the bath and give your skin another special treat. Red teas like rooibos and hibiscus are full of beneficial antioxidants your skin will love.
